Summer afternoon

Henry James once said the most beautiful words in the English language were summer afternoon. This time of year this is definitely true. I love this time of year - the way the heat of the sun feels on my shoulders. Drinking a tall glass of ice cold water after the walk home from work. Sitting on my porch reading a book. Having dinner get togethers with my friends over margaritas. This is probably my favorite time of year. The days are longer and Bryce and I will often find ourselves outside hiking, running, or playing tennis.
In celebration here are the songs I've been listening to in the sunshine:
  • "Got to Give It Up" by Marvin Gaye
  • "Breathe Me" by Sia
  • "Believe" by The Bravery
  • "Ache for You" by Ben Lee
  • "Chasing Pavements" by Adele
  • "Stayin' Alive" by Wyclef Jean
  • "Walnut Tree" by Keane
  • "Home" by Marc Broussard

I hope that you are having a wondeful summer so far. Remember to kick up your heels and take a nap in the sun.

Oh yay. I love music recommendations. And I know you have good taste because you listed Adele, who I was absolutely obsessed with a couple months ago. Can't wait to download these and listen!
