Bryce and I have a new niece! We will be visiting her (and the entire Bates family) next weekend and we are incredibly excited to meet her.
Bryce and I are also in summer school - 6 intense weeks of school.
We started to paint our house which is super exciting. So far we have done the entire downstairs. Here is our living room with it's new red accent wall. I love it. It took several coats to get it just right but we are incredibly pleased with the way it turned out.
We also painted the kitchen a wonderful sunny yellow and added drapes over the sliding door leading out to our balcony. It's so nice and bright in there - I love it! Especially since we spend so much time eating it's great having something cheery to make food in. :)
We have new kitty! Her name is Penny and she gets along very well with her sister Sydney. Here she is enjoying one of her favorite views.
Just for fun - two girlfriends (Stevie and Christy) and I held a slumber party. It was a lot of fun. We cooked, ate, had show and tell which was INCREDIBLY entertaining, went out for gelato, watched movies, and bedazzled some shirts.
The University of Portland School of Nursing (where I work) celebrated its 75th anniversary and held an amazingly fun gala. Here is the staff looking lovely..... I don't think we've ever seen each other that dolled up and doubt that we'll look that fancy anytime soon.....
We've had two weddings so far in 2010. Stuey and Danielle got married in February and Zach and Hannah just got married this month. Both weddings were a lot of fun and it was great catching up with old friends. Here is gorgeous Hannah - she was an amazing bride. She even left me a 6 pack of PBR tall boys on my chair at the reception as a surprise. What a cool bride.
