Confessions from St. John's

1) Only about 10 pages into my work notebook it's already full of to-do-lists, flags, and thoughts on how to help out with processes and procedures. Sometimes I feel like such a dork when I realize that I have assigned highlighter colors to specific things. I'm super obsessive, anally organized and I'm not all that ashamed by it.

2) My husband and I have started watching Friends episodes every night after dinner. This isn't embarassing. What is embarassing is that every morning I've started watching Saved By the Bell after breakfast.

3) I just looked on my iPod and apparently the most frequently played song on there at this time is Lady Gaga's "Just Dance". One of my student workers got me hooked on this song and apparently I've been listening to it a lot more frequently than I originally thought. FYI - 2nd most played song is "Dancing Queen" by Abba. Oh yeah.

4) For some reason, many of my friends who don't have kids yet have been trying to figure out what would be potential names for their future sons and daughters. I don't really participate in this game since the idea of actually having to raise a child causes me to break out into hives. One my friends actually threw out that she wouldn't mind naming her daughter Lotus Ann. Lotus Ann stands a good shot at either being as wholesome as apple pie or potentially being an exotic dancer. Yuck......

5) I've been cursing anyone who cruises by me on a road bike. Bryce and I really want bikes and we went to our local St. John's bike shop to purchase them but apparently this is the off season for bikes so we have to wait until October. While I'm fully aware that we could drive down to REI and pick up a bike, we really want to help support a local business. So until October I'm stuck gazing longingly at the bikers we pass by on the drive to and from work. I'm pretty sure that I freak most of them out.
