Things going on in my life lately.....

Bryce and I went to an awesome concert a couple weeks ago at the Clark Country Amphitheater. We got to see Augustana, Maroon 5 and Counting Crows. I was looking to Counting Crows the most but ended up being blown away by Maroon 5. Their cd's are now on constant rotation at the Majors house. They had great energy and Adam Levine surprised/impressed me with his crisp and unique voice. If you get a chance to see Maroon 5 I would definitely recommend it. Equally entertaining was seeing the variety of people at the concert. Teenage girls screem for Adam, older hippies singing along to "Mr Jones" with Counting Crows and of course the rockers for Augustana.

My dear friend Venessa just asked me to be a bridesmaid in her wedding next August in Cuernavaca, Mexico. Unfortunately, due to the large amount of travelling that Bryce and I are hoping to do in the next year he will not be able to go to Mexico with me. However, my best friend Ashley has graciously agreed to be my date to the wedding so we will be turning it into a Flipa/Ashlex girls vacation. I'm very much looking forward to it because I really do enjoy weddings and it meant a lot to be asked to be a bridesmaid in this particular wedding. Lately it seems like I've been attending/participating in so many weddings these days but I always have such a great time it's always worth it.

After a rough start to our summer, the City of Roses has certainly delivered!!!! Today it actually reached 90 degrees! I truly do feel fortunate to be living in this amazing city. Every day as I go for a run outdoors and pass by the bikers, the neighborhood bbq's, the peple reading in the sunshine - I cannot imagine myself living anywhere else. Just last week I went to Saturday Market which I had not been to in almost a year. I purchased a few unique Christmas presents as well as my very own spoon ring. This guy has been making jewelry out of spoons for the last 37 years!

I'm looking forward to October, the leaves changing colors, adding an extra layer of blankets on our bed at night and drinking Bailey's with coffee in the evenings. I hope you had a wonderful summer and are looking forward to the small pleasures that come with fall.
